HANA ACADEMY FIGHTING HANDBOOK

In the Academy, you are allowed to fight against other students. However, you may only do this outside the school grounds or inside the sparring area designated for students. This handbook will guide you through the basics of fighting in Hana Academy. Please follow these rules when you fight or you will be banned.

There are three stamina bars while Role-playing, or as it is more commonly hailed, rping, in the Academy. These are Endurance, Mana and HP (Hit Points). Endurance and Mana are used in creating techniques and applying them while HP determines how many points you have until death and how many points a technique can deduct. Endurance has an alternate use. When out of luck, you are allowed to exchange 2 Endurance points for 1 HP point. It is a good way to survive, but it does have costs.

ABILITIES AND WEAPONS

In this forum, as you might already know, you are required to give information about your special ability and/or weapon. You will not be able to use any abilities or weapons until it is confirmed by one of the admins, and the stamina points needed are allocated appropriately for use of the technique. Below, I will show an example of a technique. Keep in mind that this is merely an example and that higher powered techniques would require more power

Example #1
Name: Untold Blow (Scythe)
Technique: Slash
Stamina Required: -3 Endurance points
HP Deduction: -2
Description: The user appears behind the target and slashes at the target. It has a high rate of hitting, about 70% and is able to inflict temporary paralysis if completed properly. However, it is fairly easy to dodge and the attack does not cause a great deal of damage.
Advantages: Fast move to use as surprise hit
Disadvantages: Easy to dodge. Causes little impact.

Example #1
Name: Untold Blow (Scythe)
Technique: Slash
Stamina Required: -6 Endurance points
HP Deduction: -2
Description: The user appears behind the target and slashes at the target. It has a high rate of hitting, about 90% and is able to inflict temporary paralysis if completed properly. However, the attack does not cause a great deal of damage.
Advantages: Fast move to use as surprise hit
Disadvantages: Causes little impact.

The second example takes away more stamina only because of a few simple alterations of only the disadvantages and description. Detail is key! Now I will teach you the proper way of creating a Technique
[/font=Georgia]

[font=Georgia]Instructions:
Create a topic in Stamina Moves
Label it with your character's "Last Name, First Name"
Add your moves using the given template
Wait for Hotaru or Celia to post the stamina
Then go kick butt around campus

Code:
Name: {Name of weapon or ability.}
Technique: {Technique's name here.}
Stamina Required: {Hotaru will determine this.}
HP Deduction: {Celia will determine this.}
Description: {Description of the weapon or ability [This will greatly determine the amount of stamina. Be descriptive and unique!]}
Advantages: {Minimum: 1}
Disadvantages: {Minimum: 2}

---

This is how it's going to go down. The amount of abilities that you may use depends solely on what rank you are. Below I have made the table;

Newcomers = 5 abilities
First Years = 10 abilities
Second Years = 15 abilities
Third Years = 20 abilities
Fourth Years = 25-30 abilities

More ranks will be made after a certain amount of people have reached Senior rank clearly. Well, go, go and make your abilities! Be creative, have fun!

PLEASE DO NOT USE THE TECHNIQUE UNTIL THE STAMINA POINTS HAVE BEEN SET
AND
DO NOT FORGET TO MAKE YOUR OWN TOPIC TO PLACE THE MOVES

FIGHTING FORMAT

When Fighting, you must follow this format or else the other member will then have the right to tell you that your post will not count because it will be considered an auto hit. The only time when auto hits will not count is when it is OUTSIDE serious fighting grounds. Regular combat techniques will go against your stamina points.

When you are not using combat techniques such as the ones listed above, you must follow this format. Note that this format is only for serious battles such as serious fighting that and sparring. Like in many animes, the characters cause harm to each other for comedy purposes or because it’s a reaction of a person. For example, if you annoy someone, you’ll most likely get hurt but you will not be killed.

STEP 1: COPY AND PASTE YOUR APPROVED TECHNIQUE

Kagami: *appears behind him, scythe in hand, and slashes down*

STEP 2: KEEP TRACK OF YOUR STAMINA

Kagami: *appears behind him, scythe in hand, and slashes down*

(Endurance: 19 endurance, Rest: remains the same)

Please note that you do not have to post your points in every single posts, but please do after about every 5 posts when battling.

HOW TO ACHIEVE MORE STAMINA POINTS

A lot of you have been wondering, how do we get points added to our Stamina Bar (Endurance, Mana, HP) without class. This is how we'll set everything up, you will see under your names a ranking (Newcomer, First Year, Second Year, Third Year, Fourth ear). Depending on your ranking, is how many points you get.

Newcomers- 10 points automatically
First Year- (min. 250) +10 points in each bar
Second Year (min. 1000 posts)- +10 points in each bar
Third Year (min. 2000 posts)- +10 points in each bar
Fourth Year (min. 3000 posts- +15 points in each bar

[Note: You must TELL AN ADMIN/MOD if you changed levels]

Here are some ways for you to gain more points-

1. Contests
2. Events
3. Battles
4. recruiting members
5. Classes

[Please do not ask for points unless you present a good reason for it. You can get many points with battles but you must tell an admin when you battled. If you do not, we cannot give you any points. You will most likely only gain 1-5 more points in each bar]
